Thank you.

This site is dedicated to the many people - expert and not - who have devoted their lives to increasing our awareness of the health and quality of life of our planet.

Our corporate efforts are small in comparison but we hope will be no less important.

Many of the topics are complex and scientific. At Dimidia, we believe that complex science can be simplified - that it is possible to understand the cause and effect of the complex interaction between humans and nature.

Dimidia would like to give you an opportunity to participate in some of these areas and to make a difference - to make a difference to those most affected in developing countries as well as to make a personal difference for yourself. Climate change is coming and the very countries least responsible for its acceleration will suffer the most. In partnership with our expanding network of international partners, you will be introduced to projects, villages and cultures in developing countries. There will be an opportunity to learn about the science behind climate change, how global dryland regions are being affected and understand how successful adaptation strategies have been implemented.

The Dimidia effort will consist of four parts:

Environmental Project Consulting

Environmental Documentary (Click for detail)
The subject will be Climate Change and the African Drylands of the Sahara and Sahel. Beneath the cover of Climate Change are the numerous successes of a billion or so of the world's poorest people trying to survive under much of the world's most challenging conditions.

Educational Outreach (Click for detail)
Working with our partners, we will create educational initiatives for young adults throughout Europe, Asia and the United States to increase their awareness about the global reach of these environmental challenges. We will encourage the development of web-enabled educational projects with an eventual dissemination effort to remote areas of developing countries. We believe that education will be the critical paradigm for lasting change.

Web-Enabled Services (Click for detail)
Young adults are especially adept at utilizing the Internet for entertainment and education. The Web has become the global highway to disseminate a diverse array of media products to virtually all corners of the globe and will be a pivotal component of the Dimidia education strategy.

We need your help. We need your ideas, your energy and your enthusiasm to make a difference around the globe.

Throughout this site, there will be numerous references and links that we hope you will use and find useful. We have even begun a blog to give you another vehicle to share your thoughts about a variety of climate-related topics. Please check out the Dimidia Blog.

                    Seeds For Food

I am very excited about being associated with this very special program. I could provide background about the creation of this special food program, but I won't - because that story belongs to its creator, Professor Willem Van Cotthem. You will be directed to his website for all of the details.

You can also find a link to his blog on desertification by clicking on the following link to the
Dimidia blog.

This story is all about a program that is so simple in design yet has the potential to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to displaced refugees now residing deep within the Sahara Desert in Southeastern Algeria. The story of the Saharawi Refugees is an incredible displacement of a society from the Western Sahara.

You will find regular updates to the Dimidia blog as well as to this website. However, it is not the updates that make this story. Dimidia, LLC has a genuine opportunity to align with the various partners who are now affiliated with Seeds For Food and raise awareness in the United States. It is about making a giant difference to nearly 200,000 refugees who have been living in a camp for over 30 years! It is about helping to bring fresh food to the parched and barren sands of the largest desert on earth.

                    YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

This is NOT a request for financial support. It is ALL about SEEDS. Please continue to follow the Seeds For Food program and to look closely at the websites for each of our partners. They will inspire you.

Dimidia, LLC is proud to be a member of this international consortium.
